In the realm of labor and delivery, the term “augmentation” might not be as commonly heard as “induction,” yet its significance is profound. Augmented labor simply means to speed up a slow or stalled spontaneous active child birth. In our spiritual journey, we too have the opportunity to embrace an “augmented life” that propels us to birth our divine destinies.
What does the word “augment” mean? To augment is to enhance, elevate, and increase by adding essential elements. The dictionary offers a range of synonyms to reflect upon: increase, make larger, elevate, build up, enlarge, multiply, magnify, amplify, upgrade, and more. Each word carries deep significance, guiding us toward embracing God’s transformative power this August.
Dear Beauties, we are more than mere wanderers on this earth; we are carriers of destinies, vessels of purpose. Just as a mother carries a child within her womb, we carry assignments embedded deep within our lives. Our task is to birth these callings, these dreams, these purposes into reality. Yet, at times, we encounter moments when life seems sluggish, circumstances stall our progress, and the road ahead appears uncertain.
In the realm of labor and delivery, professionals examine a patient meticulously before deciding whether augmentation is necessary. Similarly, we must introspect and evaluate our own lives. Have we been neglecting this crucial self-examination? Are we allowing our lives to be led by soft contractions—half-hearted efforts that hinder our progress?
The Apostle Paul, a true example of augmenting one’s life, offers insights in Philippians 3. He recognized the importance of self-assessment and continuous growth, even with an impeccable pedigree. His example calls us to augment our joy, embrace change with courage, and examine our lives with humility.
Beauties, the time has come to infuse intentionality into our lives. Just as medical interventions enhance labor, so can our Creator augment our existence if we allow Him. When life stalls or feels immobilized, God, our Great Physician, stands ready to augment and birth greatness from within us, even amidst apparent stagnation.
Many of us unknowingly limit our potential due to fear—the fear of change, of stepping out of our comfort zones, or facing the unknown. However, as followers of Christ, we are called to augment our joy, to embrace change with courage, and to examine our lives with humility.
An examined life leads to an augmented life, but it begins with self-awareness. Understanding your core identity is key, for when you know who you are in Christ, external influences hold no power over you. As we journey together this August, let’s set intentions to break free from limitations, to add value to our lives, and to wake up every day with the yearning to be better than yesterday.
Augmenting life extends to every realm—spiritual, marriage, business, parenting, academics, health and beyond. By setting intentions and consistently enhancing ourselves, we become a force that cannot be ignored. An augmented life doesn’t happen by chance; it is the result of intentional processes.
As we stand on the threshold of this transformative month, consider this: just as a stalled labor endangers both mother and child, anything obstructing your divine destiny poses a threat. God has “impregnated” you with dreams, visions, and potential. This August, we rise above the barriers that hinder our progress, augmenting our paths to birth greatness safely.
Beloved, this August, let us choose the path of intentional growth, examination, and augmentation. As we embrace this journey, our lives will be forever changed, our purposes realized, and our destinies birthed.
